A month has passed and the government has not been able to end the shortage of petrol in Lahore. Due to limited sales, long queues of vehicles and motorcycles continue in front of petrol pumps. Citizens are worried that the government has failed to end the crisis.
The government’s notices and orders have not ended the month-long shortage of petrol. Several petrol pumps of private oil marketing companies in Lahore remain closed. Long queues of citizens continue in front of most petrol pumps.
Petrol is being sold on a limited scale. A motorcycle is given Rs 100 while a car is given up to Rs 1,000 petrol. On the other hand, the citizens are also fed up with the situation and say that the government has not been able to end the shortage for a month.
According to the Pakistan Petroleum Dealers Association, the daily consumption of petrol in Lahore is 3 million liters while the supply is only up to 2.2 million liters.
