The business community of the city has demanded one more year extension in the relief package given to the construction sector.
The relief package given to the construction sector by the federal government will expire on December 31, 2020. In this regard, businessmen associated with the construction sector of Lahore and leaders of the Lahore Chamber have demanded an extension of the relief package for at least one more year.
Chairman Marble Industry Association Chaudhry Khadim Hussain said that the relief package given to the construction sector by the federal government has given new life to the construction industry and 40 related industries.
Lahore Chamber President Mian Tariq Misbah said that the expansion of the relief package along with the construction sector would improve the country’s economic growth rate and increase investment. Senior Vice President Nasir Hameed Khan and Vice President Tahir Manzoor Chaudhry said that the federal government should announce the extension of the relief package to the construction sector before December 31.
The business community said that the relief package given to the construction sector has also benefited the common man who wants to build a house.
