The Sinopharm vaccines are being delivered to Pakistan on a special plane from China. The coronavirus vaccines were purchased for the first time in Pakistan, and the first shipment of 0.5 million Sinopharm vaccines will arrive from China.
Following a deal with the Chinese pharmaceutical firm, the Sinopharm vaccines were bought at a reduced price. The first batch of the 0.5 million coronavirus vaccines ordered will arrive in Pakistan today, with the vaccines being supplied in stages by a Chinese pharmaceutical firm.
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) had previously secured approval to use Sinopharm vaccines in Pakistan on an emergency basis. In Pakistan, Sinopharm vaccines are now being provided to frontline health staff and elderly people above the age of 60.
Sinopharm vaccinations have been proven safe and efficient in Pakistan as a result of the ongoing vaccination campaign, according to reports. In addition, Pakistan is in talks with CanSino, a Chinese pharmaceutical corporation, about buying COVID-19 vaccines.
China had previously given Pakistan 1 million doses of Sinopharm vaccines, with 500,000 vials for frontline health staff and 500,000 doses for the Pakistan Army. The Pakistan Army, on the other hand, had willingly handed over a portion of the vaccines to frontline health staff.
