An important step of the Punjab government to provide maximum relief to the people in Ramadan in the month as directed by the Prime Minister. Work began on a special package to provide subsidies on selected items, including flour, sugar and vegetables.
At the direction of the Chief Minister of Punjab, a committee meeting was held to prepare recommendations for the Ramadan package. The meeting was attended by the Secretaries of the Provincial Minister of Industry Mian Aslam Iqbal, Chief Secretary Punjab, Department of Agriculture, Industry, Livestock. The meeting considered various proposals for supply of goods at discounted rates in Ramadan markets. It was decided to assign secretaries of provincial ministers and departments to monitor Ramadan markets.
Provincial Minister Mian Aslam Iqbal directed that all possible steps be taken to provide maximum relief to the common man. Recommendations for the Ramadan package should be finalized as soon as possible. Ramadan Bazaar in the province will be active in the last week of Shaaban.
The Chief Secretary said that best arrangements should be made in Ramadan markets for providing relief to the consumers. Use modern technology to monitor Ramadan markets. Special measures should be taken to implement Corona SOPs in Ramadan markets. Quality of goods, supply and prices Special attention should be paid to cleaning and other arrangements along with monitoring case.
