The State Bank of Pakistan announced a bank holiday on Wednesday, July 1. During the holiday, banks will close their accounts while transactions with the public will remain closed.
According to details, the State Bank of Pakistan has announced a bank holiday on July 1 in connection with the closure of accounts. Banking staff will close in view of Coronavirus. Banks will be open for the public as usual from Thursday, July 2.
It may be recalled that the SBP had issued working hours for banks. All banks and financial institutions will be open from Monday to Thursday from 10 am to 4:30 pm. There will be a break for prayers and meals from 1:30 to 2 p.m. and on Fridays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. for banks and financial institutions.
All the branches of different banks have been opened and full facilities will be provided to the customers in the banks. After the month of Ramadan, the working hours of the banks were asked to be kept from 10 am to 4 pm.
Earlier, all banks’ working hours were changed due to lockdown caused by Coronavirus.
