Lahore Super Stores Association announces to stop selling sugar for now, says Lahore Super Stores Association President Ahmed Nawaz He said that wholesale sugar could not be sold for Rs. 70. The district administration should stop harassing and imposing fines.

The problem of sugar prices in the open market of the city remains the same. DC Danish Afzal fixed the retail price of sugar at Rs 70 for the open market but the wholesale price of sugar in Akbari Mandi remains at Rs 78. Ahmed Nawaz, president of Lahore Super Stores Association, says how to sell sugar at Rs 78 to Rs 70 per kg from the market.

Rana Akhtar, chairman of the Lahore Super Stores Association, says the district administration is harassing him and imposing fines of millions of rupees. President Ahmad Nawaz says that if the district administration provides sugar at Rs 70 per kg, then the super stores are ready to sell at Rs 70 but they cannot sell sugar at Rs 78 per kg at Rs 70.

Lahore Super Stores Association officials said that if the district administration did not resolve the issue of prices, they would stop selling sugar from tomorrow and the responsibility for the crisis would fall on the district administration.
