Announcing the new policy, Dr Moeed Yousuf, Special Assistant to PM Imran Khan said that the number of passengers coming from abroad has been increased every week on the directive of the PM.
By June 10, 20,000 passengers will be repatriated, more than 10,000 passengers will be repatriated as compared to the previous phase, the testing process has been further expedited and from today they will be tested on arrival of passengers. ۔
He said that the passengers would be sent home alone without waiting for the test results and the test results would be included in the track and trace system. The provincial government will take practical steps to ensure the health and safety of passengers and the public, and the good news of further softening of this policy will be announced soon.
It should be noted that a large number of Pakistanis are stranded in different countries. Most of them have been brought back. Special flights have been arranged to bring the rest. These flights have been operated to the United States, United Kingdom, European countries and Gulf countries.
