Bank of Punjab has introduced BOP Farmer Friendly Current Account for farmers and other consumers.
Bank of Punjab President Zafar Masood Sahib has formally launched Kisan Dost Current Account at a function held at BOP Head Office, Lahore. On the occasion, he said as well as providing food security, the Farmer Friendly Current Account provides low cost financing for agricultural activities along with a number of free banking services that address the financial difficulties of the agricultural sector, investment in agriculture and production. It may be recalled that on August 29, the Board of Directors of the Bank of Punjab had approved the financial results for the first half of the year 2020.
According to the BOP Board, the performance of the Bank in the current economic conditions was satisfactory. The bank has earned Rs 3.60 billion after tax in six months. In the first half of the year, the bank’s capital adequacy ratio stood at 17.80%, which is much better than the limit set by the SBP.
