Business Community Abused By Making Petrol More Expensive: Lahore Chamber

Lahore Chambers rejected the increase of Rs 25 per liter. President Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry Irfan Iqbal Sheikh and Vice President Mian Zahid Javed have said that a lump sum increase of Rs 25 in the prices of petroleum products is unacceptable.

Lahore Chamber President Irfan Iqbal Sheikh termed the sharp rise in prices of petroleum products as disastrous for industry and commerce and common man.

Mian Zahid Javed said that when petrol became cheaper, mafia disappeared and now the federal government has dropped petrol pumps on the people more than expected. This will create a storm of inflation and the common man will be left behind. Lahore Chamber Officials said that the Prime Minister should reconsider the increase in the prices of petroleum products.

According to the spokesperson, the two leaders also discussed the overall situation in the country and consulted on convening an all-party conference (APC) next week on the situation facing the country. Maryam Aurangzeb said that Shahbaz Sharif wished Bilawal well for former President Asif Ali Zardari and also inquired about his father’s health.
