Proposed Routes for Electric Buses from China in Islamabad
The G-11 Markaz to PIMS route is being examined because of the Park Road development that is currently underway. The second route might be from the National Library to PIMS, according to CDA sources.
The Chinese electric buses are expected to arrive in the next fifteen days, but the authorities still have a few weeks to make up their minds. Fifteen buses will run on the G-11 Markaz to PIMS route or the National Library to PIMS route if the road is not finished in that amount of time. The plan won’t change if the IJP Road project is finished on time. After the buses arrive at Karachi Port, they should reach Islamabad in ten days.
Operations of Electric Buses after Arriving in Islamabad
The buses will temporarily operate out of the conference center while the bus depot is being built. Thirty buses will be equipped with six imported chargers. One bus may be charged by each charger in one and a half hours. The buses may be driven on the roadways all day long once they are fully charged.
