Corona epidemic has started to take a serious turn again, new working hours are being issued for commercial activities in Punjab, commercial establishments, shopping malls will be closed at 10 pm, and entertainment venues at 6 pm.
The Punjab government has also issued a notification regarding the working hours of all commercial activities. According to the notification, all commercial establishments and shopping malls will be closed at 10 pm while hospitals, pharmacies, medical stores, fruit, vegetable shops, ovens, Flour mills, filling plants, agricultural equipment workshops, postal courier services, petrol pumps, oil depots, LPG shops will be open 24 hours a day, restaurants will be able to provide takeaway services 24 hours a day, call centers will work with 50% staff. Parks will be open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Secretary Primary and Secondary Health Care Capt. (retd.) Muhammad Usman said that the said notification would be immediately applicable to the territorial boundaries of Lahore, Multan and Rawalpindi districts, SOPs would have to be strictly adhered to as before. The No Mask No Service Act should be upheld.
It should be noted that after the onset of the second wave of coronavirus in the country, it has been decided to impose strict restrictions. During the meeting of the National Command and Center yesterday, it was decided to close the entertainment venues at 6 pm while all the markets, shopping malls, and wedding halls will be closed at 10 pm.
