For example, on April 27, 2022, when the Valuation Ruling was announced, the Pakistani Rupee was worth Rs. 190.55 US dollars. But at Rs. 278.10, this exchange rate was. Following that, a market investigation has been carried out.
New Customs Values
The import of skimmed milk powder (in retail packaging up to 5 kg per pack), skimmed milk powder (in bulk packing), and instant milk powder with vegetable fat (in retail packaging up to 5 kg per pack) would all be subject to the new customs value.
Changing with the Dynamics of the Market
To maintain the import regime’s alignment with the changing dynamics of the global market, the FBR reviews and modifies the customs values regularly.
Conclusion
The FBR is committed to ensuring that the regulatory system is in line with changing global market conditions, as seen by its proactive approach to adjusting customs values on milk imports.
