GeForce NOW Comes to Firefox

NVIDIA has expanded browser access for GeForce NOW by adding support for Firefox on Windows. The change means users can open the service’s web player in the latest version of Firefox and start streaming supported titles from the cloud without downloading the standalone GeForce NOW application.

The update brings Firefox closer to other Windows browsers already supported by the service, including Chrome, Microsoft Edge and Opera. It is especially useful for players who use Firefox as their main browser or who want to avoid installing another client on a work, school or shared computer.

Access Note: The new browser support applies to Firefox on Windows. Users still need a GeForce NOW account and access to supported games.

Why Browser Streaming Matters

GeForce NOW runs games on NVIDIA’s cloud systems rather than on the user’s local PC. That means the computer does not need to store large game files, install major updates or rely only on its own graphics hardware. A stable internet connection remains important, but the heavy processing happens remotely.

For GeForce NOW Ultimate members, NVIDIA and Mozilla say Firefox can deliver GeForce RTX-powered performance at up to 1440p resolution and up to 120 frames per second. Those figures are advertised maximums and can still depend on plan, connection quality, region, device capability and game support.

New Games Joining This Week

NVIDIA is also adding 12 more games to GeForce NOW this week. The list includes new Steam releases, Xbox titles available through Game Pass, and one Epic Games Store title. NVIDIA notes that store release dates and cloud availability can differ because games roll out across the service during the week.

Gallipoli Leads the Lineup

The headline addition is Gallipoli, the latest entry in BlackMill Games’ WW1 Game Series. The game focuses on 25v25 objective-based battles involving British and Ottoman forces across coastal, desert and urban environments.

Players can choose from 10 historical classes and more than 50 weapons and equipment options. Roles include Officer, Heavy Machine Gunner, Sniper and Stretcher Bearer, giving the game a class-based structure built around team objectives rather than simple run-and-gun combat.

Gaming Angle: Cloud play makes the new additions easier to try because supported games can be streamed without local installation.

What Users Should Know

Firefox support does not mean every PC game is automatically available. GeForce NOW works with supported titles from connected stores, and users generally need to own the game or have access through a service such as PC Game Pass where listed. Game saves can continue across supported devices when cloud saves are available.

NVIDIA also continues to offer day passes for users who want to try the service before committing to a longer membership. The company says the price of a day pass can be applied toward a first Performance or Ultimate membership if the user upgrades later.

Performance Warning: Browser streaming quality can vary by internet speed, latency, subscription tier, device limits and the game being played.

Disclaimer: Streaming quality, supported games, membership benefits and availability can vary by region, device, browser version, subscription tier and linked game store accounts.
