The Pakistan Flour Mills Association has expressed fears of a further increase in the price of flour due to rising wheat prices in the open market.
According to details, Asim Raza, central chairman of Pakistan Flour Mills Association in Shadman, while talking to our resources, said that the price of wheat in the open market has reached Rs 1,900 per quintal. If not controlled, the price of flour may go up further as the increase in the price of wheat in the open market will affect the price of flour.
Asim Raza said that the price of 20 kg of wheat has gone up to Rs. 950 and if the grinding charges of mills of Rs. Efforts are being made to prevent further rise in flour prices, but if the price of wheat is not controlled, the price may go up. Issue wheat as flour mills do not have wheat at present and if this situation continues then the price of flour will go up further and the entire responsibility will fall on the government.
