OGRA has sent a summary of the increase in petroleum products to the Petroleum Division. Sources said that it was proposed to increase the price of petrol by Rs 2.96 per liter. A hearing was held in NEPRA on the issue of fuel price adjustment, during which the price of electricity was increased by one rupee and six paise in October and November respectively.
In the case of October’s fuel price adjustment, the price of electricity was increased by 29 paise while in the case of November’s fuel price adjustment, the price of electricity was increased by 70 paise, due to which consumers will have to bear a burden of Rs8.4 billion. November Tajun’s fuel price adjustments have not been passed on to consumers, thus the adjustments will put a burden of Rs 17 billion on consumers.
