A meeting chaired by Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Bazdar also decided to set up a Punjab Veterinary Health Care Commission to check the live veterinary clinics. Under the commission, house jobs will also be started for veterinary doctors, while 9 veterinary hospitals including Lahore. Will be upgraded.
It was also decided in the meeting that helpline 9211 for livestock farms would be activated. The Punjab Chief Minister directed the department to collect authentic livestock data of the province and arrange modern training for small livestock breeders. Addressing the meeting, Sardar Usman Bazdar said that livestock farmers in Punjab would be introduced to modern scientific methods, and breeding of more dairy and meat cattle would be promoted.
In addition, Punjab Chief Minister Usman Bazdar took notice of the statue of Pakistani thinker Allama Iqbal by carving a faulty stone in Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park and demanded a report from DGPHA and ordered an inquiry. Punjab Chief Minister Usman Bazdar said that those responsible would be identified after conducting an inquiry and disciplinary action would be taken. He said that the incident of placing the statue in the park was due to the negligence of the concerned authorities and departmental action would be taken against the culprits.
