Protest rally and emergency meeting of Pakistan Goods Transporters Association against nepotism of government agencies. Pakistan Goods Transport Association has announced an indefinite wheel jam strike from October 13.
President and General Secretary Pakistan Goods Transport Aleem Butt and Nabil Mehmood Tariq staged a protest rally which started from Akbari Mandi and ended at Barq Goods Transport Saginaw. He shouted slogans against customs, highways and corporation of goods transporters. General Secretary Nabil Tariq Mehmood announced on October 13 that the wheel-jam strike will, vegetables and fruit deliveries and other deliveries stopped.
Rally participants took to the streets to protest against the National Highway Authority, traffic police, customs and the corporation. He said that he would not sit at home with his wheels jammed. Goods Transport leaders said they were constantly being targeted by customs officials. Unnecessary challans are being issued to the National High Authority and the traffic police while the officials of the corporation are bullying and the goods are being picked up without any reason.
He further said that friends from some parts of Punjab have gathered in this gathering. Our next protest will be all over Pakistan while Punjab, KPK, Sindh and Baluchistan are all on the same page.
