Due to untimely decision, wheat crisis came in the country and at present the price of flour in the country is at a historic level.
The continuous rise in prices has placed an additional burden of Rs 205 billion on consumers. The annual per capita consumption of wheat in Pakistan is about 124 kg, ie the per capita monthly consumption of wheat is more than 10 kg and the population of Pakistan is 22 crore. In October 2018, the price of one kg of flour was Rs. 39.25, which in October 2019 increased to Rs. 46.25.
