The issues of smart lockdown and industry were discussed during the meeting. Talking to the delegation, the provincial minister said that the smart lockdown has been imposed to protect the people from the coronavirus.

He said that the government does not want to close down the business, the closure of the business affects the economy. All decisions and actions are being taken in consultation with medical and economists. The government is launching a major program to rehabilitate businesses affected by Corona after Eid.

The provincial minister further said that inshallah they will come out of the difficult situation soon. The President of Rawalpindi Chamber also invited the Provincial Minister to attend the Rawalpindi Chamber Virtual Expo.

It may be recalled that on July 28, the Punjab government imposed Smart Lockdown for 9 days across Punjab including Lahore due to fear of the spread of Corona.
