Abdul Hafeez Sheik, advisor to the Prime Minister on Finance, said the government is planning the ‘Corona Budget’ and pledged to provide maximum relief to the people in the coming year.
Speaking to a private news channel, he said the government encourages business community as it plays a significant role in boosting the country’s economic activities. The advisor said the government is concurrently facing the challenges of coronavirus and economy, and is making efforts to improve the national economy and effectively counter COVID-19.
In collaboration with all provinces, he said the government would introduce an agricultural policy and in this connection fertilizer prices would be reduced to facilitate the farmers.
To another question, he said the government in the upcoming budget will promote the construction industry and it has reduced the Pakistan Housing Scheme tax by 90 percent.
