In the city of gardens, Lahore, the fog encamped which badly affected the daily life. Due to low visibility, the motorway and Allama Iqbal International Airport were closed.
The morning fog in the provincial capital Lahore blurred every scene. Due to heavy fog, the M2 motorway to Khanqah Dogran and M3 to the sea were closed to all traffic, while the visibility was reduced to Allama Iqbal International Airport. Closed for flights, the city’s external and internal routes have also become blurred, the flow of traffic on the main highways of Lahore has been affected, due to which the citizens are facing severe difficulties.
A spokesman for the Motorway Police instructed the citizens to avoid unnecessary travel. According to the Motorway Police, seek help from Helpline 130 before starting the journey.
The department said that Lahore is likely to be the city at minimum temperature of 10 and a maximum of 24 degrees Celsius, moisture content of 99%, in December and January fog less spell which effect in February. Rainfall is desperately needed to reduce air pollution and the chances of rains in February are low, which will cause health problems for citizens.
