The district administration has prohibited the entry of unlicensed heavy transport into the city without the Islamabad Transport Authority’s prior consent.

According to him, the ban’s goal was to control the entry of heavy vehicles through several ICT-administered territory points without the Islamabad Transport Authority’s prior consent.

Heavy vehicles would not be permitted to enter Islamabad between 12:00 PM and 2:00 AM on March 17, 19, 21, and 23.

In order to expedite the trip, alternate routes have also been allocated for traffic coming from Lahore. Vehicles would be directed to go from Rawalpindi Sadar Road towards Peshawar GT Road and the Motorway, the statement continued.

The Khanna Bridge, Lehtrar Road, and Park Road will be used to reroute traffic to Islamabad from Koral Chowk and Rawalpindi.

The Motorway Police have implemented a detour for traffic turning from Kashmir Chowk towards Barakahu and Murree, in order to accommodate smaller vehicles.

All businesses and institutions, whether they are part of the government, semi-government, or the private sector, must get authorization from the Secretary of Information Technology (ITA), which must then be approved by SSP Operations Islamabad, SSP Security Office (in the event of the Red Zone), and SSP Traffic Islamabad.
