First Look at Honor’s Humanoid Robot

Honor has confirmed that it will take a bold step beyond smartphones and tablets at this year’s Mobile World Congress (MWC), where it plans to introduce its first-ever humanoid robot. The company had already teased a “Robot Phone” and the Magic V6 foldable, but new details now show that robotics will be a central part of its presentation.

So far, information about the humanoid robot remains limited. Honor has shared only teaser images and a short video clip, leaving much of the design and capabilities to the imagination. Even with these constraints, the announcement signals that Honor wants to be seen as more than just a smartphone brand, positioning itself at the intersection of artificial intelligence, hardware innovation and human–machine interaction.

The company says the robot is part of its broader push into AI-driven experiences. While final specifications, use cases and availability have yet to be confirmed, the unveiling at MWC 2026 is expected to offer the first real glimpse of how Honor views the future of personal robotics.

AI Ambitions Beyond Language Models

In its teasers, Honor has emphasised that work on humanoid robots presents a very different challenge from building large language models or purely software-based AI features. Instead of relying mainly on internet data and cloud processing, humanoid robots must combine artificial intelligence with complex physical integration, sensors and movement in the real world.

This means that the robot must be able to interpret its surroundings, react to physical objects and people and operate safely in shared spaces. Training such systems requires not only algorithms but also hands-on testing and refinement in real environments.

By investing in humanoid robotics, Honor is signalling that it wants to compete in an area where AI is not just something you see on a screen, but something you can interact with in three dimensions. The MWC showcase is likely to focus on how the robot can demonstrate core capabilities rather than serve as a final consumer product, but it still marks an important step in the company’s AI roadmap.

Magic V6 and Other Flagships Join the Line-Up

Alongside the humanoid robot, Honor will use MWC 2026 to expand its hardware portfolio with several new devices. The headline smartphone will be the Honor Magic V6, a foldable phone that the company says will feature the largest battery yet seen in a foldable device.

Honor will also introduce the MagicPad4 tablet and the MagicBook Pro 14 laptop. Both are described as ultra-slim products that integrate AI features, continuing the trend of adding smart assistants and intelligent performance tuning across different device categories.

Together, the Magic V6, MagicPad4 and MagicBook Pro 14 are expected to show how Honor’s AI and design philosophy translates across phones, tablets, laptops and now robotics, giving the brand a more complete ecosystem to offer its users.

Alpha Plan: From Flagships to Robotics Innovation

Honor’s latest announcements build on the Alpha Plan, a long-term strategy it first outlined at last year’s Mobile World Congress. Under this plan, the company aims to push innovation across multiple fronts, from flagship smartphones and AI-enhanced devices to more experimental technologies such as robotics.

For 2026, Honor says its MWC presence will demonstrate tangible progress on that vision. By showcasing a humanoid robot next to mainstream consumer products, the brand is trying to highlight a future where humans and machines are more closely integrated in everyday life.

Many details, including the robot’s capabilities, target users and potential release timeline, are still unknown and likely to emerge only during or after the event. However, the decision to reveal a humanoid robot on the MWC stage signals that Honor wants to join the global conversation on AI-powered hardware, not just as a follower but as an active contributor to the next wave of human–machine interaction.
