According to the SBP report, 50,000 Pakistanis working abroad lost their jobs due to lockdowns around the world, while 50,000 migrants were repatriated on holiday. These jobs are still in danger. In addition, 59,800 Pakistanis got jobs abroad. But they could not go abroad due to flight closures.

The recruitment process for 120,000 Pakistanis abroad was underway in Pakistan. Due to the suspension of the recruitment process, the Bureau of Immigration has indicated the possibility of termination of their jobs. According to the report, 490 out of 90,308 Pakistanis trapped abroad due to unemployment and lockdown They were repatriated by special flights, with 42,729 Pakistanis returning from the UAE.
