Infinix has expanded its Note 60 lineup with the Note 60 Ultra Design by Pininfarina, a special model created in collaboration with the Italian design house. The company says this is its first Pininfarina partnership and an industry-first smartphone offering two-way satellite calling across multiple countries, supporting both voice calls and text. Beyond satellite features, the phone targets the premium mid-range space with a high-refresh OLED display, a 200MP main camera, a large 7,000mAh silicon‑carbon battery, and fast wired and wireless charging. Pricing has been revealed in Malaysia, while broader global pricing is expected later.
Design and Display: Uni‑Chassis Camera Module and 144Hz OLED
The Note 60 Ultra uses a high-strength aluminium alloy frame and a rear Uni‑Chassis Camera Module made from a single sheet of Gorilla Glass Victus. This glass panel covers the triple camera setup, a dot‑matrix display, and a “Floating Taillight” that lights up during power-on and notifications. Infinix says the lighting cues draw inspiration from Pininfarina’s automotive heritage as the firm approaches its 95th anniversary.
On the front, the phone features a 6.78-inch OLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. Peak brightness is rated at 4,500 nits and the panel is protected by Gorilla Glass 7i. The device has an IP64 rating for dust and rain resistance, plus stereo speakers tuned with Sound by JBL for 360-degree audio. Color options include Torino Black, Monza Red, Amalfi Blue, and Roma Silver.
Satellite Calling, Performance, and Software Support
The biggest headline is two-way satellite calling that supports both voice and text across multiple countries. For users, this feature is designed for situations where mobile coverage is weak or unavailable, such as remote travel or emergencies. The real-world experience will depend on supported regions, subscription terms, and how satellite connectivity performs under different sky conditions.
Under the hood, the Note 60 Ultra runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 8400 (4nm) with an all‑big‑core CPU design and a Mali‑G720 MC7 GPU. Cooling is handled by a 3D IceCore vapor chamber, which should help sustain performance during gaming and heavy tasks. The phone is offered with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, with built-in eSIM support. It ships with Android 16 on XOS 16, and Infinix promises three major OS updates and five years of security patches.
Cameras and Battery: 200MP Main Sensor and 7,000mAh Power
The camera system is led by a 200MP main sensor based on Samsung’s 1/1.4-inch HPE, with support for 2x lossless zoom. It is paired with a 50MP periscope camera (JN5) offering 3.5x optical zoom and up to 7x in-sensor zoom, plus a 112-degree ultra-wide camera. Infinix says this model adds Ultra HDR Capture and XDR Display through its in-house XDR Image Engine.
Battery is another major selling point. The phone packs a 7,000mAh silicon‑carbon battery and includes a “self‑healing” claim that can recover 1% battery life per 200 charge cycles. Charging supports 100W wired fast charging (50% in 18 minutes, 100% in 48 minutes), plus 50W wireless charging through Infinix MagCharge. The retail box also includes MagCharge accessories such as a zinc-alloy MagCharge Base, Kevlar-style MagPad, custom MagCase, and a Track‑Edition SIM ejector.

In Malaysia, the Note 60 Ultra starts at MYR 3,000 (around $760), and global pricing is expected soon. For buyers, the decision will come down to whether satellite calling, the premium Pininfarina design details, and the big battery justify the price. If satellite services work reliably in supported regions, the Note 60 Ultra could stand out as a practical device for travel and emergency use, while still delivering strong everyday specs for display, charging, and cameras.
