Who Can Apply for BSN Migration
The University of Health Sciences Lahore has opened online applications for migration of BSN Generic 4-year degree programme students enrolled in public sector nursing colleges across Punjab. The process is being carried out under the Migration Policy for Public Sector Nursing Colleges notified by the Punjab government on 13 May 2026.
Eligible students may apply for migration into the 2nd or 3rd year of the BSN Generic programme, subject to the rules notified by UHS and availability of seats in the relevant college, year, semester and session. The facility is meant for students who need a transfer due to academic, family, travel or other genuine circumstances, but it is not an automatic right.
| Important: UHS will accept applications only through the official online Migration Portal. Manual forms and hard-copy submissions will not be entertained. |
For annual-system students, migration into 2nd year requires passing first-year BSN. Migration into 3rd year requires passing second-year BSN. For semester-system students, migration into 3rd semester requires passing the first and second semesters, while migration into 4th semester requires passing the first, second and third semesters.
Schedule, Fee and Main Conditions
The online application window opened on 15 June 2026 at 9:00 AM and will close on 29 June 2026 at 5:00 PM. Students should not wait for the last day because the portal will require accurate academic details, college preferences, fee challan generation, payment proof and scanned documents before final submission.
| Requirement | Detail | Student Note |
| Application start | 15 June 2026, 9:00 AM | Portal opened for online applications |
| Application deadline | 29 June 2026, 5:00 PM | Submit before closing time |
| Processing fee | Rs. 500 | Pay through challan at Bank of Punjab or online banking |
| Application mode | Online only | No manual or hard-copy forms accepted |
| Placement basis | Merit-cum-preference | Depends on available seats and selected preferences |
UHS has also placed strict limits on who can use the migration facility. Migration is not allowed in the first year, including the 1st and 2nd semesters, and it is also not allowed in the final year. A student can migrate only once during the full four-year BSN programme.
Students cannot shift from morning to evening sessions or from evening to morning sessions. Migration between annual and semester systems is also not allowed, and the academic session of the student will remain unchanged. UHS has further clarified that migration within the same city and mutual migration between two students will not be permitted.
| Warning: Failed students waiting for supplementary examination results are not eligible to apply for this migration round. |
How to Apply Through the UHS Portal
Students should visit the UHS Migration Portal and open the BSN Generic migration application section. The form should be completed carefully with personal details, current college information, academic record and preferred institutions where seats are available in the relevant year or semester.
The order of college preference is important because final placement will be based on merit-cum-preference. Students should review the available seats and arrange their choices carefully before submitting the form. Once preferences are submitted, they should be treated as final.
After entering the details, applicants must generate the Rs. 500 processing fee challan. The fee can be deposited at any branch of the Bank of Punjab or through online banking where available. Proof of payment must be uploaded with the application along with all required scanned documents.
| Step | What the student should do |
| 1 | Open the official UHS Migration Portal. |
| 2 | Fill in personal, academic and college details carefully. |
| 3 | Select institution preferences according to available seats. |
| 4 | Generate and pay the Rs. 500 processing fee challan. |
| 5 | Upload payment proof and scanned documents, then submit before June 29. |
Why Students Should Check Eligibility Carefully
The migration window offers relief to students who may be struggling with distance, family responsibilities or practical access to their current college. However, the policy is controlled by available seats and academic eligibility, so students should not assume that applying guarantees transfer.
Applicants should check their passed year or semester, session, college preferences and payment proof before submission. Any incomplete detail or wrong claim may affect the application during scrutiny. Since the deadline is 29 June 2026 at 5:00 PM, students should complete the process early and keep copies of all submitted records.
| Student advice: Apply early, keep payment proof safe, and review college preferences before final submission because placement will follow merit and seat availability. |
