Basant Festival Returns with Citywide Branding Opportunities

The Horticulture Agency Lahore has formally invited private brands and organisations to submit expressions of interest for sponsorship of Basant Festival 2026, scheduled to take place in the city from 6 to 8 February. The move signals an active effort to involve the private sector in funding and promoting one of Lahore’s most high-profile cultural events.

According to the official notice, selected sponsors will be granted extensive branding rights across prominent locations in Lahore between 1 and 15 February 2026. This two-week window covers the full build up to Basant, the three festival days, and the immediate post-event period when footfall and visibility remain high in many parts of the city.

The sponsorship framework has been structured to attract a range of partners, from major national brands to local companies looking to associate themselves with Lahore’s cultural identity, tourism potential and festive atmosphere during Basant.

Platinum, Gold and Silver Branding Categories

To organise visibility and benefits for sponsors, the Horticulture Agency Lahore has divided branding locations into three main categories: platinum, gold and silver. Each category covers specific roads, junctions and public spaces that offer different levels of exposure.

Platinum branding locations include some of Lahore’s most recognisable commercial corridors, such as Main Boulevard Gulberg, Liberty Chowk, Noor Jahan Road, Main Market, Mahmood Kasuri Road and the Canal Road stretch from Thokar to Mall Road. These areas receive heavy traffic and are likely to offer the highest impressions for outdoor campaigns.

Gold category locations cover key business and entertainment routes, including Jail Road, MM Alam Road, Khayaban-e-Firdousi, Khayaban-e-Jinnah, Shahrah-e-Awane-Tijarat, Shadman Market Road, the Railway Station, Airport Road, Ring Road pedestrian bridges and areas near Qaddafi Stadium. These spots combine daily commuter traffic with visitor flow for shopping, dining and sports events.

Silver category locations include Shahrah-e-Quaid-e-Azam, Azadi Chowk, Niazi Interchange, Pine Avenue, Ravi Toll Plaza on GT Road and M-2, Shahdara Flyover and Firozpur Road from Gajjumatta to Azadi Flyover. While positioned as silver, many of these locations still offer substantial visibility for brands targeting drivers and public transport users entering and exiting the city.

Festival Activities and City Décor for Sponsors

The sponsorship document outlines a broad range of planned activities and visual elements that sponsors will be able to associate their brands with during Basant Festival 2026. These include the Basant opening ceremony, floats, cultural performances, laser shows, projection mapping and fireworks at selected locations.

In addition to stage and event branding, there will be extensive road décor and building illumination across the city. Public spaces and selected government and private buildings are expected to feature thematic lighting, colourful installations and Basant-themed visuals, providing multiple touchpoints for sponsor recognition.

The plan also includes arrangements for free public transport services on festival days, designed to make it easier for citizens to participate in activities across different parts of Lahore. Sponsors may find additional visibility opportunities linked to these services, depending on how specific partnerships are structured.

How Brands Can Apply for Basant 2026 Sponsorship

Interested brands and organisations have been asked to submit their expressions of interest to the Horticulture Agency Lahore by 20 January 2026. The notice has been issued by the Director Marketing-II, who will oversee the evaluation of proposals and allocation of branding categories.

Applications are expected to outline the sponsor’s preferred category, proposed level of engagement and any value-added ideas they can bring to the festival, such as interactive installations, themed zones or community-focused activities. Shortlisted sponsors will then be invited to formalise agreements and finalise branding plans for the February event window.

For brands, Basant Festival 2026 offers a chance to connect with large, diverse audiences in Lahore, associate with a high-energy cultural celebration and build recall through citywide outdoor presence. With platinum, gold and silver tiers available, both large and mid-sized advertisers can explore options that match their budgets and marketing goals while contributing to the revival of a major urban festival.
