Lahore New Tram Service Check Route, Launch Date And Fare Details

To better serve the populace and enhance the city’s aesthetics, the Punjabi government has chosen to introduce a tram service in Lahore, the provincial capital.  During her visit to the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) headquarters, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif presided over a meeting where the project was approved. Here are the details of this news.

Key Stakeholders and Project Details 

DG LDA Tahir Farooq greeted her when she arrived. Senior Provincial Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, Zeeshan Malik, Special Assistant on Political Affairs, Principal Secretary, Chief Secretary, and other officials attended the meeting.  The chief ministers were informed by the DG LDA regarding the department’s operations, key projects, and performance. The chief minister gave his approval to the MM Alam Road beautification and remodelling project during the meeting.

Planned Tram Routes and Launch Timeline 

Tram service will be introduced as part of the project in the Liberty, Main Market, Mini Market, and Hali Road sectors. In addition, nearby regions will also receive renovations. Additionally, the plan for a signal-free corridor connecting the Kareem block to the motorway was approved by the chief minister.

Routes for Lahore Tram Service 

The city’s Liberty, Main Market, Mini Market, and Hali Road districts will all have access to tram services.

Date of Launch of Tram Service 

The chief minister has given the project his approval. The administration, led by Maryam Nawaz, is anticipated to declare the launch date shortly because it is committed to completing the projects quickly.

Ticket Pricing for Lahore Tram Service

After the project is inaugurated, the administration will declare the cost of the Lahore tram service tickets.
