Government is easing lockdown, more than 26 industries in Punjab today to be opened—Department of Trade and Industry
With the approval of Punjab Chief Minister Usman Bazdar, notification of 26 more industries was issued. The Punjab Department of Industry and Commerce has also issued SOPs for related industries. The defense industry was allowed to operate. Power looms, food industry, flower mills, poultry feed mills, rice mills have been approved to open across Punjab.
According to the notification, livestock related business was also allowed. Protective clothing, masks, gloves making, storage, printing, packing were allowed. Milk and milk products factories are also allowed to open. Companies that manufacture tires, soaps and tissue papers will also be allowed to open.
It may be recalled that the Punjab government has decided to allow shopping malls by further easing the lockdown. In view of growing unrest among the people, Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Bazdar has approved the opening of shopping malls. The government has also decided to allow shopping malls in consultation with each other, while production units of automobile industry will also be allowed. From today, shopping malls, automobile industry will be allowed.
