Anarkali traders said the Punjab government had visits Lockdown spoiled Eid. Secretary Primary and Secondary Health Capt. (retd.) Usman said the decision to end the lockdown was taken after the closure of markets on Eid reduced the chances of spreading the corona virus.
According to the lockdown notification, educational institutions, wedding halls, restaurants, parks and cinema halls will remain closed, social and religious gatherings and sports activities will not be allowed, all business places will be open from 9 am to 7 pm on Saturdays. According to sources, the government is now easing the lockdown after Eid and is now preparing to open restaurants, entertainment venues, cinemas and theaters under SOPs, while marquees and wedding halls will be opened under SOPs after Muharram.
