In the case of non-opening of shops till May 9, traders’ organizations have announced to open their own markets on May 10.
At the invitation of (Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry) LCCI President Irfan Iqbal Sheikh, officials of all markets and bazaars of the city should gather in LCCI. In case of non-opening of shops, markets and bazaars will be reopened on May 10.
It may be recalled that lockdown has been implemented from March 24 to prevent the spread of coronavirus in Punjab including Lahore. In view of increasing cases of coronavirus, the Punjab government has issued a notification to extend the lockdown till May 9. Milk, yogurt shops, grocery stores, ovens and bakeries will be allowed to open from 2 a.m. to 4 p.m.
During Ramadan, mass sehri and iftar will be banned. Public transport will be closed. Grocery stores, department stores and supermarkets (only grocery, fruit and vegetable sections) will be opened from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
