Metro bus ticketing system and maintenance work has been outsourced. The Punjab government will pay Rs 25.3 million annually. The company will be responsible for ticket sales, fares and passenger facilities.

It was decided to upgrade the ticketing system of metro bus from Shahdara to Gajumata. The Mass Transit Authority contracted the automated fair collection and bus schedule system to a private company.

Lahore News has received the report of outsourcing the ticketing collection of Mass Transit Authority. According to the report, the bad ticketing machinery will be replaced from Gajumata to Shahdara. Two companies participated in the tender for the contract. It was decided to award the contract to the lowest bidding company. The government will pay the company Rs 25.3 million annually to run the ticketing system.

The contract for automated fair collection at metro stations will be awarded for 3 years. The company will also be responsible for maintaining order in the bus schedule system.
