Wheat prices in grain markets could not be reduced, Lahore Flour Mill Owners Association hinted at a further increase in the price of mill flour announced the price of mill flour to Rs 80 per kg. done.
General Secretary Lahore Flour Mill Owners Association, Abdul Rehman said that due to the wrong policies of the government, wheat is still being sold in grain markets at Rs. 2000 to Rs. 2200 per quintal. The price of wheat is also increasing. If the price of wheat does not come down, the flour of the mill will be Rs. 80 per kg.
He said that due to the wrong policies of the Bazdar government, the price of wheat has gone up and that is the reason why mill flour is being sold at Rs. 70 to 76 in different parts of the city at present.
Abdul Rehman said that the government should take sensible measures and take steps to reduce the price of wheat and formulate a policy that would stabilize the price of wheat as even importing wheat will not reduce the price of wheat in the local grain markets.
It may be recalled that on June 7, the Lahore Flour Mill Owners Association raised the price of flour by Rs. 3 and on July 17 by justifying the increase in the price of wheat in the grain markets by Rs. 5 per kg. The price is set at 850.
