Prime Minister’s adviser on finance Abdul Hafeez Sheik said no new taxes would be introduced in the budget for the next fiscal year. Talking to the private channel, the advisor said the government should meet the country’s security needs.
To a question, he said power generation sector has no shortcomings. He said that in the country 25,000 MW of electricity was being generated while we have demand of 15,000 MW in the country. He told a query that Pak economy will soon recover. Every country faced economic recession due to the Coronavirus pandemic, he said.
Around circular debt, he said we had round debt of Rs 2 trillion. Hafeez Sheik said the present government has made protection and security a priority.
