Permission to do 48 new businesses in Lahore Division

An important step was taken by the LDA to promote business activities, after approving the Land Use Rules, the first meeting of the special committee allowed 48 new businesses to be started.

According to details, a meeting of the Planning and Design Committee was held under the chairmanship of DG LDA Ahmed Aziz Tarar. Chief Metropolitan Planner Syed Nadeem Akhtar Zaidi, Chief Town Planner Tariq Mahmood, Chief Engineer Tipa Abdul Razzaq, Deputy Secretary Housing Mumtaz Ahmed Besides, Additional Deputy Commissioners Revenue of Lahore, Kasur, Sheikhupura and Nankana Sahib and Chief Officers of these districts also participated.

The meeting gave permission to start 48 new businesses within the limits of Lahore Division and started the implementation of Land Use Regulations formulated by LDA for promotion of business activities. The meeting also discussed changes in land use for setting up 28 petrol pumps or filling stations, 5 LPG storage sites, 3 oil storage sites, 6 schools, 2 medical institutes, 2 hospitals and a powerhouse within the limits of Lahore division.

On the other hand, DG LDA has announced to prepare a new master plan for Lahore in 18 months. The assistance should be provided, or a master plan should be prepared to keep in view the needs until 2050.
