To give the people hassle-free services, the Punjab government released the “Excise Apki Dehlez Per” (Excise at your doorway) app.

The app aims to offer property transfer and vehicle registration services directly to people’s doorsteps, according to the Director General of Excise Punjab.

This program ensures that the original file and smart card are supplied to the owner’s residence by having an excise officer personally visit the vehicle owner to finish the registration process.

The owner will receive the original documents and smart card in the mail, and an excise officer will come see them in person to register the car.

To guarantee the public’s convenience, the Punjab government is working day and night.

Benefits for Businesses and Individuals

  • Time and Resource Savings: By digitizing the excise processes, the app reduces the time and resources traditionally required for licensing and related activities. This efficiency is particularly advantageous for businesses that can now focus more on their operations.
  • Enhanced Compliance: The app promotes a culture of compliance by providing users with easy access to relevant information and guidelines. This proactive approach aids businesses in adhering to legal requirements, minimizing the risk of inadvertent non-compliance.
  • Improved Government Services: For the government, the app signifies a move towards providing efficient and citizen-centric services. The digitization of processes reduces administrative burdens, allowing the excise department to focus on effective regulation and oversight.
  • Transparency and Accountability: Real-time tracking and online payments contribute to the transparency and accountability of the excise department. Citizens can now monitor the progress of their applications, and the digital trail of transactions enhances accountability within the regulatory framework.

Wrap Up

The Punjab Chief Minister-in-waiting, Mohsin Naqvi, opened the online application process for learner driver licenses in December of last year.

Details indicate that Punjab’s caretaker government and Punjab police have released an app that will let people obtain a learning driver’s license from the comfort of their homes and avoid standing in line.

The Punjab government has launched this latest endeavor to enhance the citizen’s ease and accessibility to services. In the past, online services for renewing a driver’s license were implemented to avoid standing in line at license centers.
