Punjab Kissan Card Portal Is Active Now

According to Punjab Secretary of Agriculture Iftikhar Ali Sahoo, the Kissan Card registration procedure is still ongoing. This was mentioned on Friday. More than 53,000 farmers have signed up for the Kissan Card in the last two days alone, demonstrating the high demand for this program. To further improve ease, the government intends to notify farmers via SMS when their cards become available.

Comprehensive Support for Farmers

The CM Punjab Kissan Card registration portal is open twenty-four hours a day. Over 53,000 farmers have enrolled for the Chief Minister, Punjab Kissan Card in the past two days. While presiding over the review meeting on Kissan Card registration at Agriculture House, the Secretary of Agriculture added that information about the availability of the card will be sent to farmers via SMS alerts for their convenience.

Streamlining the Fertilizer and Seed Merchant Registration

The Secretary of Agriculture Punjab went on to say that 500,000 farmers would profit from this program with the assistance of the Bank of Punjab and the Agriculture Department. Each farmer will be eligible to receive an interest-free agricultural loan under this initiative, up to a maximum of 1.5 lakh rupees. NADRA, PLRA, PMD, and PITB have all been included in the process to make the Kissan Card registration process more transparent.

Commitment to Interest-Free Loans

The Agriculture Secretary gave the relevant officers instructions at the meeting, stating that the registration process for seed and fertilizer merchants needed to be finished by June 30. He declared that farmers would receive interest-free loans of Rs. 300 billion via the Card.

Collaborative Effort and Stakeholder Engagement

The Secretary of Agriculture expressed happiness that farmers have shown a strong desire to register their cards. Along with representatives from the Bank of Punjab and other officers, the meeting was attended by Special Secretary Shehanshah Faisal Azeem, Director General Agriculture Extension Chaudhry Abdul Hameed, Director General Agriculture Field Engineer Sohail Ahmed, and Director General Agricultural Information Punjab Naveed Asmat Kahloon.
