Punjab Opens New Rescue 1122 Internship Program
The Punjab government has announced 1,400 internship opportunities with Rescue 1122 under the Chief Minister Internship Program. The initiative is designed to give young healthcare professionals direct exposure to emergency response, rescue operations and public safety services across the province.
This program is important because Rescue 1122 is one of Punjab’s most active emergency services. Every day, its teams respond to road accidents, medical emergencies, fire incidents and other urgent situations. By bringing interns into this system, the government aims to build a stronger pool of trained young professionals who understand real field conditions.
Who Can Apply for the Internships
According to the advertisement, candidates with qualifications in Nursing, Paramedical Sciences or Allied Health Sciences can apply. Applicants must hold a diploma or degree from a recognized board, council or university. They must also have at least a second division in their qualification.
The internship is open only to Punjab domicile holders. The required age limit is 18 to 30 years, which makes the opportunity suitable for fresh graduates and young professionals who want practical experience before moving into permanent healthcare or emergency service roles.
Training Will Build Real Emergency Skills
The main purpose of the internship is to provide hands-on training in emergency care and rescue operations. Interns are expected to learn how emergency teams work under pressure, how patients are handled in urgent situations, and how rescue staff coordinate with hospitals, control rooms and field teams.
For many healthcare graduates, classroom knowledge is not enough to prepare them for real emergencies. This program can help bridge that gap by exposing them to practical situations where quick decisions, discipline and teamwork are essential. It can also improve their confidence when dealing with patients and accident victims.
Why the Program Matters for Young Professionals
The Rescue 1122 internship program can be a useful career step for young people in healthcare-related fields. It gives them a chance to understand the working culture of a major public emergency service and develop skills that are valuable in hospitals, ambulance services, disaster response teams and public safety departments.
The advertisement also states that outstanding interns may be selected to join Rescue 1122. This makes the program more attractive for serious candidates who want to turn practical training into a long-term professional opportunity. Even for those who do not get selected later, the field experience can strengthen their CV and improve future job prospects.
Application Deadline and Important Details
Candidates interested in the Punjab Rescue 1122 internships should review the complete eligibility criteria, terms and available positions before applying. Further details can be checked through the CTS and Rescue 1122 websites, where applicants can find official instructions and application-related information.
The last date for submission of applications is June 20, 2026. Applicants should avoid waiting until the final day because online systems and document processing can become slow near the deadline. They should also keep their educational documents, domicile, CNIC and other required information ready before starting the application process.
