Eligibility Criteria
The minimum educational qualification is Middle (Class 8 pass). Candidates with higher educational qualifications can also apply if they meet all other conditions. The age limit is 18 to 30 years.
Physical standards are mandatory at the recruitment stage: minimum height of 5 feet 6 inches, chest measurement of 33 inches with an expansion of 1.5 inches, and weight assessed against BMI criteria. Candidates must be medically fit and will undergo a full medical examination during the recruitment process.
| ⚠️ Physical Standards — Verify Your Measurements Before Attending The physical standards — 5’6″ minimum height and 33″ chest with 1.5″ expansion — are verified at the recruitment centre, not during online registration. Candidates who are borderline should measure accurately before applying and attending. Failure to meet physical standards at the centre results in disqualification regardless of the online application status. |
What the Sipahi Role Involves
The Sipahi General Duty post is the entry rank in the Pakistan Rangers paramilitary force. Rangers are deployed primarily for urban and semi-urban law enforcement support, border security operations, and internal security duties. Punjab Rangers specifically operates in Lahore and major Punjab cities, working alongside civilian police in high-security environments.
BPS-05 is the entry pay scale for Sipahi rank. Alongside the basic salary, Rangers personnel receive uniform allowance, ration allowance and other paramilitary service benefits. The career offers job security, medical cover, and a pension-eligible path in government service — significant advantages for candidates from regions where formal employment is limited. For candidates from Balochistan, KPK, Newly Merged Districts and Gilgit-Baltistan — all included in the quota — this recruitment represents direct access to a federal government career.
