Punjab Revenue Authority has collected tax of Rs. 26.35 billion during the current financial year from July to September.
The Punjab Revenue Authority has released details of sales tax collected during the first quarter of the current financial year. Rs 26.35 billion has been collected from July 1 to September 30. According to PR officials, Rs 8.90 billion has been collected during September. Rs. Tax has been collected – 19% more than the monthly tax collection in September of the previous financial year.
On the other hand, Customs Anti-Smuggling released its overall performance report for September. During September, cases worth more than Rs. 815.816 million were registered. MCC Enforcement seized 20 smuggled vehicles, 2,869kg of smuggled cloth, 21,000kg of battle nuts and a large consignment of tire tubes in September during anti-smuggling operations. In September, foreign diesel, auto parts, cigarettes, medicines, crockery and other smuggled items were seized.
According to customs officials, cases worth more than Rs 81.58 crore have been registered during September. On the instructions of Collector Customs Basit Maqsood Abbasi, operations were carried out under the leadership of Additional Collector Amir Matin
