According to the notification of reduction in prices of petroleum products, petroleum products became cheaper by more than Rs. The price of diesel was reduced by 54 paise per liter to Rs 236 per liter, kerosene by Rs 33 to 81 paise per liter, the new price of Rs 196 to 45 paise per liter, and light diesel by Rs 34 to 71 paise per liter. After that, the price of light diesel became Rs 191.44 per liter.
Sales tax on petroleum products will remain zero. The government has maintained a levy of Rs 10 per liter on petrol, and Rs 5 per liter on high-speed diesel, kerosene oil, and light diesel.
