What Makes the Galaxy S26 Ultra Different?
Samsung has introduced the Galaxy S26 Ultra as its latest flagship, and the headline feature this year is an industry-first privacy display built directly into the screen hardware. Instead of relying only on software filters or third-party accessories, the S26 Ultra can narrow viewing angles at the panel level to make it harder for people around you to peek at your screen.
Beyond this new privacy trick, the phone follows the rest of the Galaxy S26 family by focusing more on software and Galaxy AI improvements than radical hardware changes. You still get top-tier performance, a versatile camera system and a familiar S-series design, but now with smarter on-device intelligence and longer software support.
Design, Display and the Built-In Privacy Screen
The Galaxy S26 Ultra features a large 6.9‑inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a resolution of 3120 × 1440 and a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. The panel uses Samsung’s latest OLED materials to boost brightness and efficiency, and the front is protected by Gorilla Glass Armor 2 for added durability.
The standout addition is the Privacy Display feature. When enabled in system settings, the phone narrows the viewing angles so content is clearer to you but less visible from the sides. This is useful for hiding sensitive items such as notifications, passwords, banking details or private messages when you are in a bus, office or café. Samsung’s Flex Magic Pixel technology works alongside this mode to further reduce side visibility and strengthen on-screen privacy.
On the outside, the S26 Ultra keeps the familiar premium look but with slightly refined curves and a slimmer profile compared to its predecessor. It launches in multiple colour options, including Black, White, Blue and Purple, giving buyers a mix of classic and livelier finishes.
Performance, Software and Galaxy AI Upgrades
Inside, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset in supported markets. It is paired with LPDDR5X RAM starting at 12GB, with a top variant offering 16GB for heavy multitaskers and power users. Storage goes up to 1TB using fast UFS 4.1, which is helpful if you shoot a lot of high‑resolution photos and 8K video, or store games and offline media.
The phone ships with Android 16 and One UI 8.5, and Samsung promises up to seven years of operating system and security updates. Galaxy AI is now spread across the system and supports multiple assistants, including Bixby, Gemini and Perplexity AI. Key AI tools include real‑time call translation, writing help, smart summaries, advanced photo editing, object removal and more contextual suggestions throughout the interface.
Many of these AI features run directly on the device instead of the cloud, which can make them faster and better for privacy. Combined with the hardware privacy display, the S26 Ultra is clearly positioned as a phone for users who care about both productivity and data protection.
Cameras, Battery and Price Options in Pakistan
On the back, the Galaxy S26 Ultra carries a quad‑camera setup with a 200MP primary sensor, a 50MP ultrawide camera, a 10MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and a 50MP periscope telephoto lens offering 5x optical zoom. A 12MP front camera handles selfies and video calls. AI‑driven image processing aims to improve low‑light performance, portrait separation, video stabilisation and overall detail.
Power comes from a 5,000mAh battery, similar in size to previous Ultra models but now paired with upgraded 60W wired fast charging. Samsung claims it can reach up to 75% in around 30 minutes. The phone also supports 25W wireless charging and 4.5W reverse wireless charging for accessories.
In Pakistan, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is the only model in the S26 series that offers up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage. Official prices for each variant are:
• Galaxy S26 Ultra 256GB/12GB: Rs. 424,999
• Galaxy S26 Ultra 512GB/12GB: Rs. 489,999
• Galaxy S26 Ultra 1TB/16GB: Rs. 579,999
For buyers, the choice mainly comes down to how much storage and RAM you need, since all variants share the same core design, display, chipset and camera system.
