According to details, the P&D department has approved new schemes worth Rs 14 billion. 154 schemes have been approved under the Rural Access Program. There are 145 old and 9 new schemes in these schemes. These schemes will build roads from rural areas to cities. These schemes have been approved on the recommendations of divisional level committees. The construction of roads is to give villages easy access to cities.
It should be noted that this month the LDA decided to bring a development package of Rs 1 billion in the city for My Sohna Lahore Campaign, construction and rehabilitation of highways and priority development works in the constituencies of the members of the Assembly. Schemes included. Includes painting of Pedestrian Bridge on major highways including Main Boulevard, Ferozepur Road. Maulana Shaukat Ali Road, Khayaban Ferdowsi, Ali Zeb Road, maintenance and rehabilitation, LDA Judicial Complex lifts at a cost of 90 million.
The scheme of installation of LED flood lights in Lahore will also be presented in the DSC. Also included is the renovation of the walls of major underpasses. Other schemes have been proposed including construction and rehabilitation of Iqbal Town, Nizam Block Road, constituency of Wazir Housing, construction and rehabilitation of Iftikhar Ali Malik Road Gulberg on the direction of the Chief Minister’s House.
