After averaging around 1400 for about a week — in the last 24 hours has added 1,841 new cases; indicating that new cases are still on the rise and the peak of the pandemic is no-where in the scenes.
By 864 positive cases in a single day, Sindh remains the major contributor towards the new cases. Punjab has added 630 more cases to the tally. In 24 hours KP, Balochistan and Islamabad have added 169, 129 and 37 cases to the national tally.
The total number of positive cases exceeded 43, 966.
Pakistan saw 36 more deaths yesterday as 16 patients died from complications linked to coronavirus in KP, and 13 in Punjab. Sindh had 3 deaths reported while Islamabad and Balochistan reported 2 deaths each. Complete number of recovered patients were screened negative at 12,489 with 567 new patients recovering from the virus and discharged from the hospitals in the last 24 hours.
