The city of Lahore has witnessed a rise in prices due to declining supply of broilers, with chicken meat becoming more expensive at Rs 9 per kg and farm eggs stable at Rs 97 per dozen, but poultry farmers say uncertainty. The price was reduced due to the situation. Now the price of broiler is coming back to the original situation.
According to the details, the price of broiler in Lahore has gone up due to reduction in supply. Live poultry has been sold at Rs 182 per kg after an increase of Rs 6, while chicken meat has gone up by Rs 6 to Rs 264 per kg and farm eggs are stable at Rs 97 per dozen.
It may be recalled that last month, the price of broiler in the city was significantly reduced and chicken meat was cheaper by Rs 28 per kg in a week. But this reduction could not be sustained.
On the other hand, despite the announcement of Ramadan package on utility stores by the Government, the shortage of goods could not be alleviated.
