Government’s decision not to increase the prices of petroleum products, the Prime Minister rejected the proposal to make petroleum products more expensive.

According to details, Prime Minister Imran Khan decided not to increase the prices of petroleum products keeping in view the plight of the people who are suffering from inflation. The Prime Minister rejected the proposal to increase the prices of petroleum products. OGRA had sent a summary of increase in prices of petroleum products to the Ministry of Petroleum. OGRA had sent a summary of increase in price of petrol by Rs 20.7 paise and diesel by Rs 19.61 paise.

According to the media, the people are forced to face the heavy burden of prices of petroleum products. In eight months, the government has increased the price of petroleum products by Rs 44.63 per liter. From June 2020 to February 2021, it has increased the price of petrol by Rs 37.38 per liter. The price of petrol has gone up from Rs 74.52 to Rs 111.90 per liter. In the same period, the price of high speed diesel has been increased from Rs 35.93 per liter. The price of high speed diesel has gone up from Rs 80.15 to Rs 116.8 per liter.

Reacting to the possible increase in the prices of petroleum products, the citizens had said that the Prime Minister should have mercy on our condition, now it has become impossible for the middle class to make ends meet. Further rise in prices will lead to a new storm of inflation.
