The Punjab government will borrow Rs 114 billion from banks for the purchase of wheat in the new financial year. The Punjab government has estimated wheat procurement and debt in the next financial year.
The total borrowing in the new financial year is estimated at Rs. This year, the government had estimated Rs 51.24 billion for wheat procurement. The Punjab government has taken additional loans this year in view of the purchase of surplus wheat. The volume of loans for the purchase of 4.5 million tons of wheat was one trillion 8 billion 96 crore. Which is regularly reflected in the budget documents and is also proposed. The initial approval of which has been given by Punjab Chief Minister Usman Bazdar.
