Markets and bazaars are reopened from Monday after a long lockdown. An important meeting of business leaders from across the city was held under the chairmanship of President Lahore Chamber Irfan Iqbal Sheikh. The traders paid tributes to the Lahore Chamber leaders for opening the markets and assured the implementation of security measures.
Lahore Chamber President Irfan Iqbal Sheikh said that the hard work and tireless efforts of the Lahore Chamber paid off and the government allowed the markets to open four days a week. Irfan Iqbal Sheikh hoped that the government would also allow shopping malls and mega department stores to operate under SOPs as their financial problems have reached a tipping point.
SSP Securities Faisal Shehzad said that the business community has a key role to play in the promotion of commercial and economic activities safe from Corona. He said that the police department would be in full touch with the bazaars and market traders.
