Provincial Minister for Industry and Commerce Mian Aslam Iqbal’s visit to Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry, listening to the problems of traders and industrialists, says that after Eid will work with restaurant owners to prepare SOPs while opening the wedding. The halls will be opened in September depending on the situation in Corona but will require the permission of the NCOC.
Traders and industrialists called on Mian Aslam Iqbal, Provincial Minister for Industry and Commerce at Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The meeting was attended by Lahore Chamber President Irfan Iqbal Sheikh, Senior Vice President Ali Hassam, Vice President Mian Zahid Javed and businessmen and industrialists from across the city. Lahore Chamber President Irfan Iqbal Sheikh said that business must be allowed to work 24 hours a day, seven days a week while industrialists and traders have problems with WASA and LDA which need to be resolved. He said that restaurants, wedding halls, snooker clubs and other businesses should be opened to provide employment to the people.
On the occasion, Provincial Minister for Industry and Commerce Mian Aslam Iqbal made it clear that he could not talk about opening markets 24 hours a day or 7 days a week on Eid. He said that after Eid, restaurant owners will open SOPs and open restaurants while wedding halls will be opened in September after taking into account the Coronavirus situation. However, the decision to open restaurants and wedding halls is final. The NCOC will do the rest.
Mian Aslam Iqbal said that all the issues with WASA, LDA, and other departments would be resolved and no institution would be allowed to harass traders and industrialists.
